Associates
The Just Transition Finance Lab’s expertise is extended by close collaborations with associates in other parts of the Grantham Research Institute who will contribute insights and expertise to the workstreams of the core team on various aspects of the just transition: these include colleagues from the Transition Pathway Initiative Centre, the Climate Change Laws of the World project, plus leading economists and academics from other parts of the Institute.
Antonina Scheer
Antonina is a Policy Fellow and Research Project Manager at the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI) Centre. She manages the Assessing Sovereign Climate-Related Opportunities and Risks (ASCOR) project, developing the associated framework of indicators and coordinating the delivery of annual country assessments. She also leads research on the just transition as an associate of the Just Transition Finance Lab.
Joana Setzer
Joana Setzer is an Assistant Professorial Research Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. Her main areas of expertise are climate litigation and global environmental governance, and she leads the Climate Change Laws of the World project. Joana is also co-Chair of the Climate Accountability working group of the Climate Social Science Network.
Aurélien Saussay
Aurélien Saussay is an Assistant Professorial Research Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. His research focuses on the economic consequences of the transition to a low-carbon economy in order to identify the social and political challenges that hamper the implementation of effective decarbonisation.
Catherine Higham
Catherine is a Policy Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and coordinates the Climate Change Laws of the World project – the most comprehensive global resource on climate policy, legislation and litigation. Catherine joined the Grantham Research Institute after nearly a decade of policy and advocacy work in the not-for-profit sector.
Tiffanie Chan
Tiffanie is a Policy Analyst for the Climate Change Laws of the World project at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. Tiffanie is a dual-qualified lawyer in England and Wales and in Hong Kong. In her current role she explores legal pathways to net zero, benefits of climate laws, and corruption risks in climate action.
